History
Founded in 1967, Steven Dubner Landscaping Inc has been designing and building
award winning residential and commercial landscapes in the New York metropolitan
area and Long Island for more than 40 years. The company was the first to win
landscaping design/build awards, including:
*New York State Nurseryman's Association for Residential Design work 	*Long
Island Nurseryman's Association Award 	*The first Long Island firm to win the
Associated Landscape Contractors of America Grand National Award for Landscape
design and build 	*1976 Associated Landscape Contractors of America Grand
National award winner 	*Northeast Nurseries (owned by Steven Dubner, partner)
SDL continues to receive such tributes each year.
SDL has designed and built numerous residential properties throughout Long
Island over the past four decades that continue to be enjoyed today.
In addition, SDL installed landscapes at many of the most prestigious sites in
the New York metropolitan area and Long Island. Some of the firm's signature
commercial projects can be seen at The Boathouse Restaurant in Central Park,
Computer Associates, Robert Wagner Park and Nelson Rockefeller Park in Battery
Park City, Americana Shopping Center, and Ikea Park in Brooklyn.
Staff and Resources
Our staff of over 90 employees is dedicated to creating surroundings that are
functional yet beautiful. All experts in their particular field, the SDL team is
devoted to ensuring that your landscaping project is constructed using the
highest of standards.
The SDL team of landscape architects and designers, ISA certified arborists,
horticulturists, carpenters, expediters, foremen and crew understand how their
individual tasks affect the overall project. With expert human resources, SDL
integrates and leverages our expertise to achieve a synergy that ensures that
each project runs flawlessly and is completed on time and budget.
Steven Dubner Landscaping Inc is supported by state-of-the-art equipment and a
one hundred twenty (120) acre nursery. The SDL offices and showroom are set on a
seven-acre nursery located in Dix Hills. This enables our clients to see sample
masonry and planting materials that will make their project a reality.
Our resources, experience, and expertise mean SDL is able to control every
aspect of the project. Our landscapes are built for generations.
