Verdesian Rooftop

Designed and installed by Steven Dubner Landscaping Inc.

The aim in this New York City Roof garden was to create outdoor leisure space while screening the necessary but visually obtrusive air handling equipment that was already in place. The Verdesian is the first Platinum rated LEED building in New York City. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a rating system for sustainable green building practices.

This design was awarded the Long Island Nursery and Landscape Association (LINLA) 2007 Gold Award, Professional and Care Network (PLANET) 2007 Grand Award and New York State Nursery and Landscape Association (NYSNLA) 2008 Environmental Beautification Award.
