Tranquil Setting

This residence sits atop a bluff overlooking Seacliff Harbor. Our design responds to the changing grade and the client's desire to create unique spaces and visual interest. Terraces, set at different levels, were designed to accommodate the slope and create innovative outdoor spaces. One terrace was designed for meditation and quiet repose. Lush plantings surround this patio, creating a sense of intimacy and privacy.  Another terrace is virtually an extension of the interior, with a dining and entertaining area that takes advantage of the harbor views. Plantings were selected based on their ability to withstand tough winter winds while providing erosion control. The additional landscaping merged seamlessly with the existing plant base, making for an elegant, sustainable landscape with limited maintenance responsibilities.
